The Light at Barcelona
$60 on display at Parkview Ice Cream in Westfield NY SOLD
I was asked to do a painting of the Barcelona Lighthouse yet again, this one to possibly be displayed in a local ice cream shop. There is a large, oak shelf in the front, where the owner wants to put several of my pieces. This piece is 13x12.5 at its widest points and comes with a stand of oak that holds it rather beautifully. :)

Adrenaline at Dusk

I have been holding onto this piece of shale for nearly a year now, trying to find the right pcture to paint on it, and I think I finally found it. It's a rather simple scene, but I love the idea of being on the edge, so rappelling down the side of a rather sheer face, appeals to me greatly. The shale itself is 16x12.5 at its widest points, but is rather thin and lighter than most.

Fish Road Views

This is a view just down the road from a friend's new house. Beautiful country, where the lake and all of the oncoming weather is very visible for miles. It is an 11x14 canvas piece that I'll be showing on Saturday mornings at Moore Park in Westfield NY this summer at our Farmer's Market. Come and take a look around!

The Birch Path
This is an incredible piece of shale, its surface ridged and rippled, its edges utterly uneven. I love this piece. It's also very difficult to get a good picture of, because of all of the ridges. I've never tried to paint birch trees before, but found this picture and just had to try it. At its widest, this piece is about 12x9 inches.

The Rapids

This is a piece that I've been wanting to do for a long time, but never had the right piece of shale. I love how the shale wall makes the falls look, how the water is so roiled up and interesting. I find scenes like this far more intriguing than most of a more complex nature. The shale is about 8x10 in. and is maybe half an inch wide, very light in comparison to most.

Lincoln and Grace

These statues are just down from my apartment, on the corner of Main Street and Portage. Abe Lincoln apparently made a stop in Westfield and stopped to see the little girl who had written to him, recommending that he grow the beard that he is so well known for. It is one of Westfield's claims to fame. Let me know what you think of it!

The Falls

I have been working on this piece for months, but had quite a few problems making it look realistic. I think I finally managed it, or at least I hope. :) This is one of my favorite places in the gorge and according to my husband, an excellent place to fish from. The piece is a 16x20 on canvas.

The Moore Clock

I have been planning to do this piece for a long time and now, I've finally gotten it done. This is from the park that is just across the street from the apartment, a pretty place to be able to see out the front windows. I have to admit, I hoped it would be better than it is, but I do like it. I hope you do as well. Oh and the shale is about 12x15 inches at its widest.

The Old Railroad Bridge

This is a piece that I have done before, in a much larger form. I like it much better in this smaller piece, which is about 10x10 inches at its widest points. It's so bright and cheerful, but makes me want very much to go for a hike.
